About
Assoc. Dr. Fatih Özkaya graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine (AUTF) in 2009 (2003-2009). He completed his specialization in AUTF Urology Department between 2009-2015. He completed his compulsory service between 2015-2018. In 2016, he received his robotic surgery training at OLV Hospital and ORSI (OLV Vattikuti Robotic Surgery Institute) in Belgium.
He is the first doctor in Turkey who can perform a robotic surgery alone during compulsory service. During a 2-year period (2017-2019), he performed 9 types of robotic surgery. These; radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, simple nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, renal cyst excision, pyeloplasty, ureterolithotomy, ureteroureterostomy and retroperitoneal mass excision. He has 219 robotic surgery experience in 5 years. He still works at Altınbaş University Bahçelievler Medical Park Hospital and performs robotic surgeries at Liv Hospital Vadistanbul .
Since 2017, he has performed 231 laparoscopic surgeries. He has more than 10,000 surgical experience in 7 years of specialization and 5 years of residency, including more than 600 pediatric urological surgeries, more than 1300 endoscopic stone surgeries (RIRS) and 179 percutaneous stone surgeries (PCNL).
